Which immigration authorities in the DACH region impress with customer-oriented service, digitised processes, good accessibility and fast processing times?
For the second time, immigration authorities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland that excel in the above categories will be honoured. The aim is to highlight positive examples and create incentives for improvement.
The study?
A scientifically based mixed-methods study under the patronage of Dr. Janina Klein, an expert in organisational change in public institutions at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
As a counterpart to the scientific community, the committee includes renowned representatives from companies such as BMW, Merck, Schwarz Group, Henkel, RWE, Volkswagen, Barry Callebaut, OMV, Siemens, Evonik, Allianz, Sanofi and ICUnet.Group.
Why is the award so significant?
The procedures at immigration authorities are a decisive factor in the success of skilled worker immigration. Time and again, companies and international employees report obstacles – for example, in terms of accessibility or the length of procedures. At the same time, there are authorities that score points with clear processes, digital infrastructure and respectful treatment on an equal footing. It is precisely these approaches that the ABH Award aims to highlight.
The results of the study are intended to highlight best practices that can serve as a catalyst for further development in other public authorities – in the sense of a more welcoming culture and modern public administration.
Whose experiences are sought?
Anyone who deals with immigration authorities in their work is invited to participate – whether as a
