Shaping the future together: Sharing experiences, strengthening diversity, fostering talent!
This is the motto of the Passau Business Forum's mentoring partnership. The shortage of skilled workers presents us with major challenges in Germany – but innovative programs like this can help us find solutions together.
This year, we participated in this program for the first time. Our motivation: to make it easier for immigrant skilled workers to enter the workforce in Germany and, at the same time, to find our own talent for the future of the ICUnet.Group!
With success: Zainab Yousofi from Afghanistan began her apprenticeship as a business administrator for digitalization management with us on September 1, 2024! She already has previous experience in data management.
As a mentee of Annika Sonntag, our in-house consultant for Digitalization & Operations, Zainab gained valuable insights into the German labor market, work culture, and training system through several meetings during the program. The program was complemented by an intercultural training on the topic of "Working and Living in Germany" from our intercultural expert Gurdatar Singh Bal.
Naturally, we also wanted to know how Zainab experienced the program:
"During the mentorship partnership program, I had the opportunity to get to know two ICUnet databases. The mentoring motivated me to further develop my career in digitalization management. I am very grateful to everyone involved for the support I received during the program at ICUnet, as well as for the opportunity to receive training in the Digitalization Management and Learn Hub department."
The program is a true win-win for both sides: Mentoring not only expands intercultural skills but also strengthens leadership skills!
A big thank you to Tatiana Cerescu for the excellent coordination of the program, Annika for her commitment, and Zainab for her enthusiasm!
